In the rising sport of Mixed Martial Arts, tonight was supposed to be a monumental match-up for Kimbo Slice Vs Ken Shamrock - and it was.  Ken Shamrock couldn’t fight.  Instead, replacement Seth Petruzelli was put into the ring.  Despite being the unknown underdog,  Seth Petruzelli defeated Kimbo Slice in just 14 seconds.

Knockouts aren’t new to professional sports, but this TKO has ramifications for the rising sport.  Many are questioning the viability of MMA on CBS, after such a disappointing match-up. 

Yahoo Sports noted, “The ramifications here are numerous… In the long run, that is devastating to the company and for MMA on CBS. The future is very much up in the air.”

Having said that MMA doesn’t typically make the very top of the headlines, and this big loss will ensure a lot of buzz.  In short, the world watched one of the best underdogs win after seeing a 14 second KO for Kimbo Slice Vs Ken Shamrock’s Fill-In, Seth Petruzelli.
