Fire catching discussions between parents and their kids about access to the Internet, are fuelling the anxiety of the parents to control or at least have a say in what children choose to visit on the internet. All types of software have been developed helping parents to make a choice and allow them to block what ever website they see fit. But the software is only filtering and doesn’t give a guarantee that only proper (a word which relates to the parents and not to the writers of the software) contents are filtering through. A week ago KidZui (pronounce kid-zoo-ee) was launched. KidZui is not the adult Internet filtered for kids, but an entire Internet just for kids instead. KidZui has been built from the ground up, along with a brand-new, kid-friendly interface that completely revolutionizes and expands a kid’s online experience. Even the youngest users can navigate it just by using pictures and other graphics. When they register, children are asked to create their own Zui, a personal avatar, which they can customize by changing its skin colour, hair colour and style, eye colour and shape, clothes and accessories. KidZui is designed for kids to connect to their real-world friends, subject to mutual parent approval. The social interaction is built on rating and sharing KidZui-approved content. Filed In: |
