What do televisions disguised as cuddly toys, mobile phones shaped like teddy bears and nanny robots have in common? They’re high-tech toys for kids, and they foretell the emergence of a new consumer market.

“IT and consumer electronics companies gathered at the giant CeBIT fair in the Hanover, northern Germany said that with the threat of saturation in the telephone and TV markets, they were looking to children to rev up the sector,” explains newswire AFP.
