Former Editorial Intern Jordanna Tennabaum knows a thing or two about finding the best viral videos online, as her favorite trend pick, this kids song cover of Robin's 'Call your Girlfriend' can attest to. The video, which features adorable sisters Lennon and Maisy, shows how immensely talented these two girls are. In addition to her penchant for uncovering the best trends the Internet has to offer, she also opens up about living up to her childhood aspirations of being a journalist and experiencing such an incredible time at Trend Hunter.

What is your favorite trend and why?

My favorite trend is definitely this viral music video. It is an unlikely kids song cover. It is just two little girls who made this song together with what looks like to be margarine containers. So, they just put it in on YouTube and it's already got thousands of views, if not millions now. It is just two little awesome girls.

What is your secret to uncovering the best trends?

My secret to uncovering the best trends is definitely frequenting all of the blogs that I like. Getting in touch with some of the designers, or photographers or artists that I've covered in the past and just really trying to have an eye for anything that I think is different and hasn't been done before.

What is your favorite part about working at Trend Hunter?

My favorite part about working at Trend Hunter is the fact that every day I am truly amazed by what I read, whether it is something that I am writing about or reading about or something that other Trend Hunters are writing about. I am always just blown away by what we are looking at.

How do you reset to be creative?

When I am at work I listen to music. If I am stumped on something i'll play a song and it will put me in a different mindset. It will relax me a bit and make me see things differently.

What did you want to be when you were little?

When I was little I actually always wanted to be a journalist. So it worked out, which is crazy.

Predict a trend for 2020?

A trend I see upcoming in the future is just anything having to do with androgyny. Boys who look like girls, girls who look like boys. It seems to be a huge theme right now. Anything that blurs the lines between gender, I foresee as being really big.

What is a remarkable way you foresee businesses changing?

The way that I see business changing is definitely anything that has to do with social media, but more specifically in terms of businesses becoming more paperless. Doing everything virtually and not having that paper trail behind them. Moving more towards an environmental shift is definitely something that I see occurring.

Any last thoughts about Trend Hunter?

I would wholeheartedly recommend Trend Hunter for any aspiring journalist, photographer, web developer, programmer, social media lover, PR aspirant, basically anybody who has any stake in this industry will find what they are looking for through this internship.
