Brian Smith started out as a sci-fi writer, public school teacher and father of two, and now the beloved mastermind behind Ample Hills Creamery and an adult kids' cookbook.

His company is the source of a homemade-style ice cream using fresh, whole ingredients and adventurous flavors like 'Salted Crack Caramel' and 'I Want to Marry This.' Now Holy Grail Flavors can be made at home with their new eponymous cookbook filled with photographs, illustrations, employee intros, stories, games and more.

The book intends to include kids in the process of cooking by reading recipes and becoming familiar with the techniques of cooking. It includes lots of fun for adults with recipes for Stout and Pretzels, 'The Dude' and others found in the 'Tipsy' section. Chapters are organized by mood, ranging from 'Blissful' to 'Heartbroken.'
