Swype -- the keyboard app that lets you text by swiping letters rather than tapping them out on your phone's screen -- released a collection Star Trek keyboard wallpapers.

Essentially, Star Trek fans can have James T. Kirk or Captain Picard's heroically profiled face behind the letters as they swipe out their messages. At the same time as the release of the keyboard wallpapers, Swype announced the addition of a new feature: predictive emoji. When using a Swype keyboard, emojis that might be helpful to the conversation the user is having will appear above the letters on the keyboard.

Swype's new keyboard wallpapers are an easy way for Trekkies to express themselves in every aspect of their personal style, and serve as an effective attention-grabber for Swype's announcement of their emoji feature.
