The tobacco industry has to innovate to keep the sales up, particularly in the cigarette markets. The whole world is experimenting with artificial flavours, so why not the tobacco industry.
It is well known that menthol is a flavour goes nicely with tobacco, although up till now it always has usually been “mixed†with the tobacco itself.
American Tobacco's brand Kent has introduced a stripe of menthol embedded in the filter, which gives cigarette smokers an additional and different taste.
Don't suppose Kent's Citric Menthol cigarettes are healthier, no way reports show the same health risks. But for the fanatic smoker it is just something to experiment.
