I’ve never questioned the necessity of chairs, especially the idea of back support, until coming across this Kenoy Yeh Frame Seat. Highlighting a design that escapes the traditional sense of what a chair is this ground seating avoids the use of a back support.

According to Naresh Chauhan, contemporary seating may be comfortable, but it is also, “takes us away from the natural environment and causes disparities in our body posture.” By removing the back rest the Kenoy Yeh Frame Seat makes you come in direct contact with the earth. Would you sacrifice comfort to become more in tune with nature?

This is definitely an interesting concept. I've heard the same sort of theory that claims our footwear is now too supportive and over time, has made our feet weaker.
