When I say "haute couture," pink hair and floor-length capes might not be what immediately come to mind, but the two come together for an edgy and sophisticated look in the Kristy Kaurova 'How To Spend It' magazine shoot. Andrew Yee gets behind the lens for this futuristic fashionista editorial, the result of a collaboration with fashion editor Damian Foxe for the Financial Times' luxury lifestyle mag.
I love the use of color blocking found in many of the shots, with Kaurova's pink hair contrasting the maroon jackets and leggings or creating a superhero comic-book look when paired with a long cape-inspired coat. While not all of these looks are fitting for regular daytime wear, they'd certainly turn heads on the runway, with avant-garde styling that would make Lady Gaga herself proud. I've definitely been inspired by this Kristy Kaurova 'How To Spend It' shoot to get a little more adventurous and walk on the wide side with my fall wardrobe!
