Kali by Matthias Heiderich Captures a Minimalist Landscape

There is something beautifully poetic about the photo series titled Kali by Matthias Heiderich, a self-taught photographer based in Berlin, Germany. It captures what can be deemed a wasteland fit for the new 'Mad Max' movie instalment and yet the pale sands that bleed into the grey skies offer a serene landscape that is more exquisite than destructive.

The hints of old industrial rigs, pipes, rails and more add an element of abandonment to the photo series Kali by Matthias Heiderich that also gives it a poignant vibe. Although, it could easily be the remote site of a factory or something similar. Either way, the world of minimalist gravel pits and quarries are utterly mesmerizing.
