Buffalo, New York is set to host the first kale eating contest, the 'Kale Cup', presented by 'Kale Yeah!' On the steps of Buffalo's city hall, leafy-green lovers will compete to see who can eat the most raw kale in eight minutes. The contest will take place during the annual Taste of Buffalo festival.
Kale Yeah! is hoping the competition will offset the fried and unhealthier food being offered at the food festival. The food festival has mandated that all vendors have at least one healthy option listed on their menu.
