This cool designed washing system uses ultraviolet-C light for cleaning nano-coated fabrics, a durable and stain resistant fabric that many hypothesize will be used to make the clothing of the future.

The Electrolux KaionWAVE system uses fee radical oxygen alongside the ultraviolet C-light to sanitize fabrics while they're being cleaned. The KaionWAVE can kill viruses, bacteria and dirt in one fell swoop.

Implications - Modern washing machines are changing the face of laundry as we know it by leveraging research on the science of stains. Many of these tech-savvy washing machines don't even use water to do their magic, and most are outfitted with environmentally friendly features to cut down on electricity usage.
