Continuing with the gothic-style theme, the Junya Watanabe Fall 2014 Collection is usually found on the model's heads, but this time basic hair-dos suddenly take the front seat. This season, Watanabe has his women clamped into closely fitting skullcaps appearing as salon hair clippings glued back together.

In fact, this collection's theme has been a bit of buzz for Parisian designers because no one has done it with the skill, intricacy or poetic grace quite like Watanabe. Wool netting, tulle and even flashy sequins are employed as raw materials for his artistic canvases.

Early on in the collection the designer's circle constructions are featured, then moving to triangles, waves and petal shapes. These cuts allow the diversity of the materials to show in tunics, ponchos, capes and skirts.
