The Junya Watanabe Fall 2014 Menswear Collection delivers the autumn show with clashing cultures that realign its menswear soulful punk aesthetic. Although there are no avoidances with the quilted hunting jackets and parkas that are his menswear staples, Watanabe mixes up the collection with teddy boy tailoring in flannel and corduroy.

He pairs frock coats, trim blazers and fat, knotted ties with polka dot shirting, along with a zany synthetic wig worn under a smart bowler hat. He patches checks, hides and pinstripes across raw denim and finalizes with spidery grunge knitwear.

The collection is the result of the designer revisiting his signature triumphs with the rock star effect. The aesthetic on the whole has a slight resemblance of Slash from Guns n' Roses.
