The New NikeLab Collection Draws from Jun Takahashi's Love of the Sport

Jun Takahashi is a Japanese fashion designer who's considered to be one of the founding fathers of streetwear. He's gained this title from his high-profile rugged pieces that made use of a clear punk influence -- which he continuously manages to bring a unique and contemporary aesthetic to. Now, the creative has taken a turn and joined with NikeLab for a collaborative line of athleticwear.

In order to get the functional and fashionable designs, Jun Takahashi considered his own love of running. As HYPEBEAST reports, the designer explained his appreciation for the sport by saying, "Running is my biggest source of creativity. It makes sense that I create apparel and footwear to support my running, which I dedicate time to everyday."
