45 years ago, John F. Kennedy was assassinated, and hundreds of spectators flock to Dealey Plaza on this day to honor the memory of the beloved former president. These widespread public memorials are expected for such prominent public figures.

Not all of the dearly departed receive the John F. Kennedy memorial treatment, however.
