The design of the new John Curtin School of Medical Research seems very appropriate considering the purpose of its existence. With a very futuristic aesthetic, it has dramatic lines, angular sheets of glass and steel walls.
Designed by Australian architecture firm Lyons, the John Curtin School of Medical Research was created in such a way as to promote interactivity within for collaborative research. Located in the capital city of Australia, it is comprised of housing research facilities, exhibition areas and a 200 seat public lecture theater.
Inspired by simplified icons of molecules and DNA strands, the John Curtin School of Medical Research certainly has a strong sense of movement and orientation, which again reinforces the idea of social exchange and fraternization through interconnectivity.
