's Shock Campaign

What a horrible concept to promote a job search site! The ad communicates that seeking a new job by joining is a good way to leave a disatisfying job, which is OK. However, depicting the unhappy worker as a blow-up doll with bruises and black marks is pushing it way too far. If you are in a job where you are sexually harassed and physically abused, you need to contact the police, not join a job search community!

The awful campaign, which was created by Dentsu ad agency in Beijing for the Danish site (I guess no agency in Denmark went with the idea, so they had to go all the way to China!), consists of three prints featuring bruised and beaten dolls with bloody noses, black eyes, and various injuries.

I am appalled by the use of serious topics such as sexual/physical abuse to market a job search site.

This is actually the second time we've featured blow-up dolls. The first can be seen below. Stats for Abused Blow-Up Dolls 2 Trending: Older & Buzzing
