This is brilliant—what a way to jilt someone. A Japanese groom burned down the hotel where his wedding was set to take place rather than going through with the nuptials as planned.

Tatsuhiko Kawata had made marriage plans even though he was already married to another woman. He decided burning down the Risonare Resort was a better option than honesty.
