Hana Karim is one of many jewelry designers from Slovenia who designs exaggerated and heavy jewelry. Her concept may seem counter-intuitive, but she manifests her pieces as not just fashionable embellishments. Her jewelry collection consists of pieces that are not worn in typical places, bringing back the primal purpose of jewelry as significant bodily objects.

She believes objects should have sacred relationships with the body, as opposed to mundane everyday uses. Her collection features rings, necklaces, earrings and even pieces worn on shoulders. Colors pertain to black and white contrasts, while shapes are unusually crafted with cutouts, hair, wire, textured ceramic and metal.

You can tell each of her pieces have an endearing meaning, making the entire collection an accessory worth pursuing. She truly brings jewelry back to its roots.
