Olympic Pressure Mounts - Jessica Hardy Caught Cheating

Despite world beating swimsuit design which has been considering cheating by some experts, Jessica Hardy still felt the need to enhance her chances to medal at the Olympics by taking a prohibited substance. Hardy’s doping ban from the 2008 Olympic games leaves 41-year-old Dara Torres and Megan Jendrick as the only American participants in two events. The California swimmer tested positive and a review of the situation could mean her removal from the U.S. team, just as it prepares to leave. The substance is believed to be a stimulant. Hardy is a pro swimmer specializing in the breastroke and sprint events. She holds the American record for the 100 meter breast stroke swim.
