I’m a sucker for miniature sculptures, and Jeremy Mora’s immaculate ‘Picking Up the Pieces’ exhibition with Robert Reynolds at POVevolving Gallery in Los Angeles is breathtaking.
The press release that accompanies ‘Picking Up the Pieces’ is intentionally left vague, but my response to Jeremy Mora’s sculptures is one that coincides with a post-apocalyptic tale of society.
Perhaps it’s appropriate that these sculptures in ‘Picking Up the Pieces’ are made from unusual materials like piano wire, random twigs and other studio detritus; they lend a haphazard quality that enhances Jeremy Mora’s incredible miniature works even further.
The Scion-sponsored exhibit opens this evening.
