Hollywood movie star Jennifer Connelly took the current trend of metalic and glittery fashion to overdrive with a Disco-inspired sequined Balenciaga strapless dress at the New York premier of her new movie “The Day The Earth Stood Still.”

All throughout 2008, we have seen the sparkling trend grow stronger and stronger, from sequins and metallics to golden red carpet gowns.

And juding by Jennifer Connelly’s choice, which is a tube dress from the Jennifer Connely Ready To Wear Spring 2009 collection, we will be seeing a whole lot more of the sparkling fashion next year.

Jennifer Connelly was the face of Balenciaga’s Spring/Summer 2008 ad campaign.
