The Jean Paul Gaultier Spring 2014 Ready to Wear collection showed during Paris Fashion Week with an invigorating concept: dance. Gaultierâ€™s show celebrated different genres of dance as well as iconic dance moments.
The models lit up the stage with captivating dance numbers, from Karlie Klossâ€™s funky Vogue to Coco Rochaâ€™s fabulous Grease number to Hannelore Knutâ€™s sensational tango. The show was made that much more unique by the panel of judges that were stationed on the runway to critique the models best dance efforts. Gaultierâ€™s concept was spectacular, captivating and encapsulated an infectious sense of fun.
As for the fashion, the show paid tribute to the fashion stylings of different genres, featuring rap-inspired track suits, black leather Greaser-style outfits, fringed cabaret looks â€“ and even an Amy Winehouse inspired number, complete with a the late singer's signature beehive do.
