Japan's Art Exhibit- Makes a splash (VIDEO)

The 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, in Kanazawa has an exhibit that can open your eyes underwater.  Basically it is a pool that people can view from above and below that creates the illusion of people being underwater. Everyone has the fascination of being able to live and breathe underwater. Its why we create icons like mermaids. Why people love to scuba dive and snorkel, and why there are movies created like Waterworld. This is a great showcase of this fascination by being able to bring it to life.

Japan's coolest swimming pool isn't really a swimming pool One of the memorable exhibits at the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa is the inverse pool, which creates the illusion of people being underwater. There's something creepy, almost disturbing, about the effect. But then that's one of the things good art does—it makes you ask yourself why you react the way you do. The brainchild of Argentinian artist Leandro Erlich. (mellowmonk)
