This Japanese Tire Commercial Will Scares the Safety into Drivers

This Japanese tire commercial is so frightening that it comes with a health warning in front of it. The Autoway company in Japan has released an ad promoting winter road safety (and winter tires) that seems to be one part Japanese horror film and one part scare-'em-straight public service announcement.

The advertisement depicts friends driving along a quiet road on a dark and snowy night from the first-person point of view of the driver. The car is than accosted by an angry ghost of a woman who looks like she was hit by a car. The friends freak out and drive away while her ghost remains, a creepy, bloody apparition, staring at the audience with a lap-top in hand as a website pops up on the screen.

As unusually scary as this ad is, it will certainly do its job and convince more people to get their winter tires on before the weather worsens. Stats for Terrifying Tire Commercials Trending: Older & Average
