For his latest design, Issey Miyake looked to the dashboard of a car. The ‘Trapezoid AI’ watch features numbering that looks like speed limits and circular dials that create the appearance of car dials.

The designs come in a variety of fun colors (just like cars) and are available in stores (just like cars).

Implications - Car fans are a fervent bunch, and luxury menswear designers are increasingly catering to this market by creating attractive watches and accessories using aesthetics found in cars. By appealing to gearheads, fashion designers can lure a new customer base that has proven that it's willing to spend spare cash on items non-fans may find frivolous.
