Function over Form is often the motto to which electronics developers stick, rarely thinking outside of the box -- literally. The IRIVER Stone Hard Drive is far from rectangular and it even integrates an additional feature which improves its physical efficiency.
Matt Day sculpted this digital data vault into the shape of a smooth flat stone, making it both softer to the touch and smaller in size. Interestingly, the colorful pancake case is actually broader than the storage device inside it, reserving room around its inner edge for the accumulation of its entwined USB cable. The clever composition of the IRIVER Stone Hard Drive allows for excess cord length to be tucked away when it's not needed, reducing the tangled wire mess on your desktop.
