One of the best known icons to represent rarity has been sold. The 1918 24 cent stamp called the Inverted Jenny sold for $825,000. Heritage Auctions sold the stamp, slightly less than a record, to a Wall Street executive. Maybe this is a sign? Wall Street investing in stamps? The stamp is valuable because if you didn’t notice the airplane is upside down.
