Endgame Systems of Atlanta, Georgia has developed a computer security system called the ‘internet telescope’ that can identify and map the physical location of computers infected with malware that is used to run botnets.

Botnets are formed when malicious software turns a computer into a bot, or zombie, that can perform automated tasks over the Internet, without the computer owner’s knowledge.

Countermeasures to thwart the zombies and the malicious actions of botmasters or to identify them for computer crime investigation are some of Endgame’s internet telescope program capabilities. Stats for Cybercrime Fighting Software Trending: Older & Mild
