Interactive Marketing - 1-click Awards (VIDEO)

1-click award is a competition rewarding the interactive works using mouse actions such as click. The contest offers the winner 500,000 yen and is being organized by Japanese recruiting company, Recruit. This in itself however is not the awesome part, no no, the awesome part is the promotion of the 1-click award. Just poke this guys butt with your mouse and you’ll see what I mean.

By posting this little man shaking his hinny on your blog, when visitors come to your page and click on his bum he jumps up, screams in pain and begins to run across your screen yelling in Japanese with your curser stuck in his cheeks. When he gets to the edge of your screen you begin to load a new blog page of another person who posted it on their blog, still continuing to run across the screen, but noticeably fatigued he gets to the edge and yet again another blog page loads. This however does not go on forever, once the second page is loaded it goes to 1-click’s main page where you can read up on the 1-click award competition.

I can see how this would defiantly get more traffic to a site, as well as let the “clicker” view other sites they might not know about. Simply an ingenious way to market and ridiculously funny.
