Sure, you’ve heard about the birds and the bees, but what about the stink bugs and the cicadas?  Obviously, we wouldn’t have these bugs year after year if they weren’t reproducing somehow. This colorful, and somewhat disturbing photo series collected by RJ Evans demonstrates that even bugs get busy. 

Whether you favor the colorful queen butterflies or the rotting banana-like snout beetles, one thing is certain, you’ll never look at ladybugs the same way again.

Caddis flies are closely related to moths and butterflies and as such mate in a very similar way with each partner facing away from the other. (scienceray)
