Bug-Inspired Cars of the Future - The Insecta (VIDEO)
The Insecta

Shao Yung Yeh, the Taiwanese designer of the ‘Insecta’ concept vehicle, says he drew inspiration from insects and nature when creating this futuristic car design. Bugs naturally feature aerodynamic, mobile and elastic shapes—exactly the silhouettes that designers seek to emulate.

This concept car is a futuristic looking thing for sure, and definitely complements the grasshopper it was inspired by. It has a very light and agile expression for a car, but I’m not sure I would feel very protected in that thing.

The concept vehicle is propelled by four independent electric motors located inside a sphere system on each wheel. "This not only increases the agility of driving, but also optimizes the space for a comfortable cabin." (carbodydesign)
