The Chair-air is a classic chair, hand carved in the Victorian style with an unexpected touch. The cushion is an inflatable air-bag made from sleek PVC and er, air. The inflated air cushion reminds one of beach or pool floating pads. The rest of the chair is stained beechwood. Although care must be taken with sharp objects in the pockets, the Chair-air is easy to clean - just wipe with a damp cloth!
Nathan Wierink of The Netherlands is the designer of this quirky chair. He and another designer, Tineke Beunders come together as the design group, Ontwerpduo.
