Cusco was the capital of the ancient Inca empire and the center of the Andes; its historical ruins are hardly the place for a boutique luxury hotel. La Casona Inkaterra, however, plans to shake that stereotype with a hotel that blends past and present.

Inkaterra uses colonial furnishings and original murals amid modern comforts like butler and concierge services, a private spa and lavish dining areas. Flat-screen TVs and iPod docks complement Spanish architecture and adobe, plaster and tile appointments.
