'MakerNurse' is an online platform that nurses can use to share ideas for improving patient care. Nurses perform a crucial role in hospitals, which allows them to witness many of the everyday challenges patients face. This platform provides a space for nurses to share ways of overcoming the inefficiencies of hospitals.

MakerNurse is an online platform that nurses can use to document and archive ideas for improving patient care. These ideas can include everything from glow-in-the-dark pill bottles to catheter protectors. MakerNurse subsequently provides the tools and resources to turn these ideas into a reality. The hope is that by drawing on the creativity and ingenuity of nurses, hospitals can find better ways to care for their patients.

Although the program is still fairly new, MakerNurse has already created working prototypes for products such as laser-cut bandages for infants and a shower system for patients in the burn unit.
