ImpactSpace is still in beta but the San Francisco, California company will be launching soon. It's a free database of those at all ends of the impact investing spectrum including companies, investors and entrepreneurs. For all involved, it's not simply the financial capital that matters but also the social and environmental return. But it's good business -- that's why investors invest.
As impact investing grows, ImpactSpace has come out as a way to track the deals that are happening and increasing at a steady speed. It follows along in a way to something like ClearlySo, a directory of social businesses, which emerged at a time when it was difficult to find out where companies existed.
