Iggy Azalea's Cover for Interview Mag is a Cobain Era Throwback

By: Vasiliki Marapas - Published: • References: globalgrind & papermag
Iggy Azalea channels a 90s goth-inspired look for Paper Magazine’s 2013 editorial. In the spread, she rocks her signature bleached blonde hair with a blood rep lip and minimal eye makeup.

As for the clothes, Azalea pays tribute to the legendary Kurt Cobain with her oversized plaid sweaters, a studded and leather fringed trench coat (that Azalea wears as a skirt,) tights, studded leather boots and lacy bra tops. This vintage grunge throwback manages to be cavalier yet glamorous at the same time – perhaps it’s the oversize Marc Jacob fur coat she dons in one shot, the simple string of pearls around her neck, or an edgy rocker sex appeal that emanates from Azalea in these fashions.

Either way, this shoot – styled by Andrew Mukamal and photographed by Harper Smith – captures Azalea’s daring attitude and showcases her ability to wear pretty much anything with style. Stats for Provocative 90s Grunge Editorials Trending: This Year & Popular
