Inspiration Across the Nation is a new campaign The Library of Congress is running to encourage people to inspire others to reach their potential. To participate, all you have to do is send the library your poems, essays, films, pictures or any type of art form you excel at and which can be transferred electronically. The submissions must be accompanied by a description of the inspiration behind the creative process. Meanwhile, The Library of Congress has been advertising this campaign with images of iconic American figures plastered around the country. The images, which are made out of fingerprints, depict such cultural and historic icons as Marylin Monroe, Abraham Lincoln and George Washington. | |
