Macadamia Nut Bowls - Husque Houseware (GALLERY) [Edit]

Mark Harrison’s Husque houseware is really attractive. Fashioned out of Australian macadamia nut shells, The Australian designer uses a special compound to mold the shells and create very beautiful, colorful bowls and other tableware that make use of nuts, pods and organic shapes as sources of inspiration.

I really love these pretty, useful creations made with unused material.

A highly renewable, and often unused material, the shells are put to good use to produce the beautiful Husque collection, and will not be running out anytime in the near future. To pay homage to the place of origin, Husque’s name is derived from the word husk, replacing the ‘k’ with ‘que’ to include the first three letters of Queensland. (inhabitat)
