Polar bears have become the icons for the dangers of global warming. Just so we don’t forget, the retailer Propaganda has commissioned a polar bear floating ice floe drain stopper and a hot drink lid with the same motif. I love polar bears, so I have mixed feelings about these products. Part of me thinks they’re cute in a kitschy sort of way. Part of me is concerned that people won’t really make the connection between the gadgets and the seriousness of global warming and that these little hunks of plastic will one day simply represent an extinct species.  Designed by Chaiyut Plypetch for Propaganda, the Polar Bear series puts the focus on global warming.
