Hotel Hubertus, a luxurious holiday resort in the province of South Tyrol in the Italian Alps, has a pool that takes swimming to new heights -- literally. The pool, designed by architecture firm NOA, has a cantilevered design that extends out from a hillside edge, and at the extremity of this expanse is a glass bottom.
Swimmers daring enough to venture toward the edge can dive down and get a look at the 12 meter drop below them. Further, it is an infinity pool, so swimmers truly feel like they're floating in the sky.
While the glass bottom is likely the most thrilling aspect of Hotel Hubertus' pool, its cantilevering is impressive and striking in and of itself. The pool extends outward 25 meters, or over 80 feet, from the hotel's deck.
