Move over Che Guevara, your prime T-Shirt real estate has just been take over, and “Yes We Can”! Of course, the Obama campaign became a huge part of pop culture in 2008, but more and more, we are starting to see the president-elect in Fashion, on bling, and even your pooch can adorn the inspiration of “hope.” Obama merchandise can be seen going down that catwalk, on hoodies and worn by such celebs as Alicia Keys and Will I Am. The Huffington Post explains that the Obamaniacs have collectively made the new prez a highly marketable commodity for fashion. Zazzle has a fantastic selection of shirts, ties, hats and shoes with Obama all over them…including making Keds fashionable again. Even jewelry adorning the head of the new president can adorn anyone’s neck. The Huff Post believes this is a time-sensitive trend with the inauguration closing the gate on such paraphernalia, but I couldn’t disagree more on this point. With such a huge achievement in history, Obama will be a part of fashion for decades to come. You’ll see his face on T-Shirts as a symbol of hope, like Martin Luther King Jr still is. In fact, I predict, this trend will only grow with time. I hear Andy Warhol will be coming back from the dead, just to put his pop-culture signature on that famous smile of Obamas’.....
