Holographic Projection Coming to Laptops, PDAs and Mobile Phones
[Edit]
A new ground-breaking holographic 2D projection technology could result in a new generation of pocket-sized digital video projectors and miniature projection displays incorporated into other handheld devices. Digital video projectors produce large, high quality images are becoming increasingly popular as they grow cheaper with mass production, but the technology is limited in its miniaturisation, preventing projectors from being incorporated mobile device markets. Holographic projection of 2D (rather than 3D) images represents a compelling alternative to conventional image projection. Video projectors based on this holographic technology can be made very small so a projector could be integrated into a laptop, a PDA, or even a mobile phone. (GizMag)

THESE 2D HOLO-PROJECTORS ARE FASINATING. IF THE PROJECTORS CAN PROJECT TO A SPECIFIC POSITION BELOW ADULT EYE LEVEL LIKE YOU ARE SITTING DOWN FROM A CHEST PLATE PC 2D HOLO-PROJECTOR ,THEN WITH HAND MOTION DETECTION KEY AND MOUSE GESTURES THAT CHEST PC IS COMPLETELY PORTABLE AND WIRELESSLY CONNECTED TO OFFICE NETWORKS AND OTHER NETWORKS. THE PROJECTOR WOULD NEED TO LOCK ONTO A STATIONARY SYMBOL HELD IN THE LEFT HAND OR THAT CAN BE PLACED ON A WALL OR DESK. THE BALL AND CHAIN OF REMEMBERING TO LUG YOUR PORTABLE PC TYPE DEVICE WOULD BE REDUCED TO THE MORNING FIRST WHEN YOU GET UP OR WHEN YOU ARRIVE AT WORK TO PUT THE HOLO-PC ON.
