Shall there be an HIV/AIDS-Free Future? Is there a true silver lining to the AIDS/HIV epidemic? Well all cynicism aside, some experts think so.

Two and a half years after a Mississippi case of a girl born to an HIV positive mother was diagnosed and later cured of the disease herself, it would seem that adults could and can be cured of the same. Doctors are saying that this incident that occurred accidentally could be the game changer that we have all been waiting for.

In support of the findings from the Mississippi case, researchers and AIDS experts alike agree that early detection can lead to more HIV cures. According to Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institute of Health, he told CNN "the best way to either eliminate the virus or allow the immune system to suppress residual virus is to treat someone as early as possible after infection so as not to allow a substantial reservoir of the virus to take hold."

That being said, as all positive accounts pertain to early detection, hope for a cure is definitely growing.

With a story like this it is no surprise that we ask- Are we entering an age with NO AIDS? Will the world of Pharmaceuticals allow for this?

These questions may continually be answered with a resounding NO- But at least for now these questions can all be YES' as they pertain to toddlers. Stats for HIV Be Gone! Trending: Older & Chilly
