New software available from NASA will allow you to tag along with Cassini as it explores Saturn and its moons. You can see where Cassini is now, what the probe is doing and where it is going. The NASA website also has many links to explore to further understand the details of the mission, including mission photos, videos, posters and models. The Cassini-Huygens probe was launched in October, 1997 and began orbiting Saturn in July, 2004. The Huygens probe was released in December, 2004 and landed on the surface of Saturn’s moon Titan in January, 2005, becoming “furthest human-made object ever to land on a celestial body”.
