Hermes is all about, "marrying tradition and innovation" or at least so says artistic director Pierre-Alexis Dumas while talking about the new Hermès saddle. Unveilied at the luxury retailer's show-jumping event, Saut Hermès, the saddle features a carbon and injected thermoplastic fake wood to replace the wood and steel underframe of traditional saddles.
This technique makes the Hermès saddle lighter and finer than its conventional counterpart. Called the Talaris and designed impart by master saddler Laurent Goblet the Hermès saddle retails for $9,100.
