The Hermes Fall 2014 Menswear Collection is directed by Véronique Nichanian, adopting the role of the Black Widow this season by shaking off the nautical nomad vibe of her spring offering.

The collection evokes the black, and the new black for winter with a pared-back palette that serves well to highlight the artisanal finesse of her outerwear experiments. The designer panels a varsity jacket in shaved mink or a needle-punched a leather lapel onto a fuzzy wool caban coat.

The collection features stiff, funnel neck shirting that opens the show and elegant knitwear is adorned with a spider and its web. The message is dark and luxurious, grounded on lambskin trousers and accessorized with the boxy fourne-tout weekender bags.
