Godfrey Deeny, the blossoming talent behind the Givenchy label, found divine inspiration for his fall/winter 2008 collection after spending several months in South America.

Based on the repetitive use of hexagons, filigree details, and architectural lines, Trendinista found striking resemblances to the ornate, vaulted ceilings of famous Cathedrals throughout Europe. 

In any event, the pieces will take your breath away.

The Hispanic influence became more obvious in the black lace and flamenco/matador touches later in the show, but (huge relief) the sense of modernity didn't end up sacrificed on the altar of theme. - style.com (trendinista.blogspot)
