The stunning new LED lighting panels installed at Harrods department store in London feature scenes of liquidy, sci-fi, fantasy,  seemingly in 3D, that seem to melt and morph into one another.  The modular lighting system was developed by Chilean designers “The Anemix” a studio comprised of two young architects and lighting designers, Ximena Muñoz and Paulina Villalobos, with the industrial designer Monica Labra.  According to their website, they are inspired by “bioluminescence, a natural phenomenon which takes place in the sea depth, where some species produce light in order to survive in the lightless and hostile environment”.  Part of Harrods’s Senses campaign, these panels will be in place until the 28 March.
